The Food System Caucus is excited to announce the return of Ag Day! The first since 2019, Ag Day is a favorite at the Massachusetts State House. Visit with farms and commodity groups at the Taste of Massachusetts exhibition in the Hall of Flags to learn directly from the hardworking people who grow our food.

Join Food System Caucus Co-Chairs, Anne Gobi, Hannah Kane, and Paul Schmid, in Nurses Hall to welcome Lt. Governor Kim Driscoll and discuss the great work Massachusetts has done to prioritize and strengthen agriculture.

Lastly, learn more about the impact of Buy Locals at an informational briefing hosted by Rep. Natalie Blais, a Food System Caucus member. Panelists will discuss plans for the future, and what kind of impact "Buy Local" funding has had in communities across the State.

To Our Caucus Members,
Thank you for your membership and commitment to the Massachusetts’ food system during the 192nd General Court. We believe our collective work together has had a positive impact...we look forward to another successful session, see you in the new year!

Governor Baker releases two major plans on his last day in office.

The Resilient Lands Initiative: (RLI) is a vision and plan that will guide actions to conserve, restore, and care for the land to benefit both nature and people. The RLI is distinct from other land conservation plans because both visioning and implementation were approached with two overarching considerations in mind: 1) justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion and 2) climate change.

The Healthy Soils Action Plan: The first of its kind, the plan provides an assessment of the condition of our soils and a blueprint for how we can effectively conserve and protect, restore, and properly manage our soils to improve the vitality of nature around us and the health and quality of life of our residents.
